“Azul, Meia Noite” arrives in Nepal!
The film “Azul, Meia-Noite”, by former student Henrique Mesquita Montes, has just been selected for another international festival, this time in Nepal, joining the program of the Janakpur International Film Festival. The event will take place from february 20 to 23, 2026, in Janakpur, and this selection reinforces the consistent journey of a project born at ETIC.
This work reflects a deeply collaborative creative process, where the involvement between students and teachers went beyond the technical dimension and became a true collective building experience. The student team represents a generation in motion, already expanding their professional and creative paths: Henrique Mesquita Montes, Beatriz Sousa Dias, Gabriel Azevedo Borges, Mariana Macedo, Duarte Morgado, and Andre Potyeryayko were the talents behind “Azul, Meia-Noite”.
The project was supported by several teachers throughout different stages of production: João Cunha, Carlos Braga, César Pedro, Nuno Rua, Alexandre Afonso, Dora Nobre, and Pedro Senna Nunes. Their pedagogical presence was essential in consolidating the film’s technical and artistic rigor.
Before its selection in Nepal, the film had already circulated through an impressive number of national and international festivals, collecting distinctions and official selections across multiple countries. “Azul, Meia-Noite” continues its journey, proving that cinema created in an educational environment can achieve global reach and a life far beyond the classroom.
