Design: Inside Protest Songs
First-year Graphic Design and Multimedia students developed a series of posters inspired by the strength and relevance of protest songs. Beyond celebrating this powerful form of artistic expression, the initiative aimed to explore protest songs as a vehicle for conveying messages.
The works presented result from a project developed in the Introduction to Design course, which took as its starting point the book 33 Revolutions per Minute – A History of Protest Songs by Dorian Lynskey. Based on this publication, each student selected a protest song featured in the book and created an interpretative poster that visually translated its message and context.
With the creative workshop “O Homem do Saco” as a fictional client, the challenge pushed ETIC’s talents to fully explore their creativity.
