ETIC Teachers Awarded at Monstra!

 

ETIC’s Animation department continues to prove its excellence: two of its teachers were distinguished at the prestigious MONSTRA – Lisbon Animation Festival! This is yet another clear demonstration that students at our school learn from highly relevant and talented creatives.

Professor Gonçalo Dias won the Best Portuguese Very Short Film Award with the film ‘Beak Quiet’. The work stood out for its creativity and visual language, winning over the jury of one of Europe’s major animation festivals. Meanwhile, Francisco Valle, also a teacher at ETIC, received the Geração M Audience Award with the film ‘Bordeira – Zé’, a particularly meaningful distinction as it comes directly from the votes of a younger audience.

Congratulations to Gonçalo and Francisco for taking the name of Portuguese animation — and ETIC — even further!
