ETIC Kicks Off Another Edition of the 48 Hour Film Project

ETIC once again partnered with the 48 Hour Film Project and hosted the official launch of another edition of one of Portugal’s most demanding filmmaking competitions on 26 June. The event took place at Atmosferas, bringing together participants ready to take on an exciting challenge: creating a film in just 48 hours.

Over the years, the connection between ETIC and the 48 Hour Film Project has grown stronger through the participation of students, alumni, and lecturers. Many ETIC teams have embraced the challenge, won awards, and left their mark on a competition that puts creativity, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure to the test.

This year, ETIC once again supported its students by offering a 50% discount on the registration fee, reinforcing its commitment to providing real-world experiences that bridge education and the audiovisual industry.

The 2026 edition will conclude on 19 July at Cinema São Jorge, where the completed films will be screened and the awards presented, celebrating the talent, creativity, and dedication of all participating teams.
