More than two decades of partnership: ETIC in action at Rock in Rio Lisbon!

For more than two decades, ETIC has been part of the history of Rock in Rio Lisbon. In 2026, the school strengthens this connection through an ETIC team of around 75 people, working across different areas of the festival!

As partners since the very first edition of the festival in Portugal, the collaboration between ETIC and Rock in Rio Lisbon translates into training opportunities and real-world experience, bringing students and alumni closer to how a major international event operates.

Event Production students have been working at the festival since the setup phase, joining teams and taking part in building an operation that involves thousands of professionals.

During the festival days, students from different courses are responsible for creating content for Rock in Rio and ETIC channels, capturing what happens both in front of and behind the stages, as well as the teams, projects, and stories that are part of the City of Rock.

Another highlight of this edition is ETIC’s participation in the technical operation of the BacanaPlay Digital Stage. The school’s outside broadcast truck will be responsible for capturing and transmitting the stage feed to the venue screens and streaming platforms, with a backstage setup ensuring the entire broadcast operation.

But ETIC’s presence at Rock in Rio Lisbon is not limited to current students. Several ETIC alumni are part of the festival’s professional teams, working in areas such as Photography, Film and Television, Communication and Marketing, Events, and Design and Multimedia.

From setup and content production to technical operations and professional teams, ETIC’s presence at Rock in Rio Lisbon continues to reflect the school’s DNA: learning by doing, side by side with those who build the creative industry every day.
